Colts head coach Shane Steichen has gained a reputation for running bizarre trick plays during his time in Indy.
On Sunday, Steichen’s trickery paid off against the Texans.
During the Colts-Texans game, Steichen decided to run a fake punt on 4th down, which ended up being successful.
On the very next play, the Colts decided to run another fake punt on first down, which caught the Texans off guard.
The Texans were clearly not ready for the play and were penalized for having too many men on the field.
OMG I have NEVER seen this before 🔥🔥
Colts ran a fake punt on 4th down they converted
Next play, on 1st & 10, they left the punt team on the field!
And ran a fake punt again!
Texans had no clue what was happening and had too many men on the field
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! pic.twitter.com/WSm91nTDt0

Fans had jokes about the play.
“This is absolutely diabolical play calling, and I’m here for it,” said one fan on X.
“When you’re out of timeouts in Madden and accidentally hold down the ‘Y’ button to run no-huddle and can’t call an audible,” commented one fan.
Unfortunately for Steichen, it appears that he’s on the hot seat and may not return as Colts head coach next season.
