At the time, FedEx Field officials denied the leak came from sewage pipes and insisted that it was only “rain water.”

On Wednesday, Rael Enteen, Vice President of Content for the NFL’s Washington Commanders, was secretly filmed on an “undercover date” by “citizen journalist” James O’Keefe’s’O’Keefe Media Group.’

During the undercover date, Enteen implied that the Commanders lied to fans about the sewage leak.

“My job is to sell hope to the fans, I need them buying tickets, I need them buying jerseys, when there’s not much hope to sell I need to dig deep and find it..”

“We had like pipes leaking sewage on our fans in the middle of a game, and I have to put out a social post saying “It wasn’t sewage water, we promise.” That is state-run media.”

The Commanders have suspended Enteen due to his comments in the video, and have opened an investigation in the matter.

“The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization. We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time.”
