The UFC doesn’t seem interested in Conor McGregor boxing in India. Last month, McGregor revealed that he was currently in negotiations to box against WWE superstar Logan Paul in India.
“The rumors of a bout with topurio (sp) are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon,” McGregor wrote on X.
MMA website FightBookMMA reported that the Indian tourism board would pay Paul and MGregor $250 million each.

Conor McGregor is preparing for a monumental return to combat sports in 2025, stepping outside the UFC for what could be one of the biggest boxing events in history. McGregor, 36, has been confirmed to face WWE star and social media influencer Logan Paul in a mega-money showdown hosted by India’s royal Ambani family. Both fighters are reportedly set to earn an unprecedented $250 million each. The fight will take place at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium as part of India’s “Visit India” tourism campaign.
On Monday, McGregor confronted Paul about why he stayed silent amid reports of the fight.
“You kept your mouth shut, you did? I thought we were going to get the fight going, you’re very quiet. You were giving all this Dana this, Dana that, you’re f—ing controlled by the WWE as well bro”
After Thursday’s BKFC press conference in Philadelphia, McGregor told The Schmo that the UFC killed his boxing match with Paul.
“It is what it is, the UFC aren’t into it, the offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE both rising up. The stock price of TKO holding group through the roof, new market in India, opening up and booming. It was business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen..It made perfect sense, the UFC wa just not into.”
