While former UFC star Conor McGrgeor has recently claimed to have gotten clean and found God, a recent video of him exuberantly explaining boxing to boxing legend Mike Tyson might suggest otherwise, at least as far as the former is concerned.

Over the weekend, a video of Conor McGregor went viral after the clip hilariously panned to Mike Tyson’s reaction following an exuberant explanation of boxing from McGregor.

Tyson, of course, is widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers to ever live, while McGregor has become more known in recent years for the controversial antics in his personal life than his performances — MMA, boxing, or otherwise — in the ring.

Oddly enough, Mike Tyson has actually competed more recently than McGregor, as he fought Jake Paul in an exhibition match in November 2024. McGregor, meanwhile, hasn’t seen the inside of a ring since looking consecutive fights to Dustin Poirier in 2021.

After the viral moment, McGrgeor shared a video of the pair enjoying some joints on Instagram.

Back in October, McGregor said that he has been saved by God and is now on a “spiritual journey” that has “healed” and “saved” him, and pushed to be on the fight card for the UFC’s planned event at the White House in June 2026.

“I am not here just by chance. There is a higher power, God, that dictates my journey. I live my life by God’s word, and since the last event, I have engaged in a spiritual journey. I’m saved. I’m healed. On the back of that, the world is in for a treat,” McGregor claimed.

“My competitive spark that was once in my heart is now a roaring blaze. So I’m very excited – I envy these men up here. They are right about to make weight… and do what they were called to do. As am I called to do it. I am eager to get back and right now I had to dial myself in and go inward – and that I’ve done. I’m very excited to come back my own self.”

According to Trump, the UFC event at the White House on June 14 is set to have “eight or nine title fights.”
