According to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, McGregor suffered an unspecified injury that isn’t considered serious, and he should be back in a few months.
“Ihe Conor injury is not severe, I think he can be back in two months” said Helwani during an emergency live stream on Thursday night.
The UFC schedule is going international for the following two cards on July 27th (Manchester) and August 18th (Perth) before returning for the Mexican Independence Day card at The Sphere on September 14th.
Helwani says that the UFC is going to try to slot in a McGregor-Chandler PPV card between August and September ahead of the Mexican Independence Day card.
“Now they’re looking at August and now they’re looking at September, I think can honestly he’d be ready to go in July, but they have the July 27th card in Manchester. Hopefully, we get it on August 31st, on Labor Day weekend, or end of September.”
