We have more fallout over the Robert Saleh situation in New York.
On Tuesday morning, the Jets shocked the NFL world when they announced they were firing Saleh days after the team’s loss to the Vikings.
Saleh reportedly had no idea he was going to be fired and was escorted out of the building.
My understanding is that Robert Saleh was fired this morning and then escorted out of the building by team security. There was no meeting with players to inform them or anything like that. He was in the building for work, and then he was out of the building and out of a job. https://t.co/syDwzCiXZn pic.twitter.com/BH7YjnvRN0

Over the weekend, Saleh had gone viral for wearing a Lebanese flag patch on the sideline which is a big deal considering the escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Some fans believe it’s a bit of a coincedence that Saleh got fired days after wearing a Lebanese flag on his shirt.
Just two days after Coach Robert Saleh wore the Lebanese flag on his sleeve, he’s been fired as the Head Coach of the NY Jets. While his record hasn’t been stellar, Saleh inherited a struggling team and still had a year left on his contract. Is this just a coincidence? pic.twitter.com/rHN8aFwTzn

Robert Saleh got fired because he showed support for Lebanon, you cannot change my mind or convince me otherwise. Woody Johnson (owner) is a life long republican donor and a staunch Zionist. Johnson and Johnson also has a long historical tie with Israel. #jets #lebanon #zionist pic.twitter.com/bcqepSHz94

Jets beat reporter Connor Hughes insists that Saleh was not fired for wearing the Lebanese flag on his shirt.
The Lebanese flag, Robert Saleh rumor right now is wild. Needs to be put to sleep.
The league is encouraging players and coaches to represent their heritage. Robert Saleh is … Lebanese. He did this last year, too.
It has absolutely nothing to do with his firing. #Jets
