In no way am I someone who can talk shit about someone failing while playing hockey. Hell, I can barely stay up on my two feet while wearing skates on ice, let alone trying to play a sport and put the puck in the back of the net.
Still, you can’t help but laugh—and wonder—how in the hell Nashville Predators center Craig Smith missed this wide open goal last night against the Montreal Canadiens.

After receiving a pass and having nothing but air to put the puck into, Smith completely shanked it, hitting a one-timer that, somehow, ended up ricocheting back off of his stick before the Montreal goalie could jump on it.
Luckily for Smith, though, he didn’t end up as the ultimate goat, because he won the game for the Preds in the overtime shootout, taking him off the hook.
After missing an big opportunity in OT, Smith gets redemption and seals the win for the @PredsNHL in the shootout.https://t.co/KKniYVy90e
