Ronda Rousey versus Cris “Cyborg” Justino is becoming the Mayweather-Pacquiao of MMA. The fight is the most talked about in MMA circles but there’s a good possibility that it may never happen because of weight differences.
The 135 pound UFC champion Rousey has been adamant that she will only take a fight with Cyborg at 135 pounds. Cyborg is currently the Invicta FC 145-pound champion and has never made 135 in her career.
Cyborg went on SportsCenter on Wednesday to call out Rousey and to make a case for the superfight to happen.
This fight has to happen. Because if UFC thinks I don’t deserve this fight, don’t do it for media, do it for all the fans that want to watch this fight. You don’t have to do it for me. If I don’t deserve this fight, my fans and the fans of women’s MMA want to see this fight, and they deserve this fight.”
Cyborg has also taken shots at Rousey on social media in recent weeks.
Ronda may have no choice but take a fight with Cyborg at 140 pounds if she runs out of opponents in her own weight class.
