Cubs’ Christopher Morel was extremely emotional after learning he had been traded by the team.

On Sunday, Morel was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for Isaac Paredes.

Morel learned about the trade while he was playing in the Cubs game vs the Royals.

After being pulled out of the game, Morel was in tears as he said goodbye to his teammates in the dugout.

Morel said goodbye to his fans in Chicago in an emotional Instagram post.

“Right now I can’t think or speak, tears are coming out, but my soul and heart will always be in Chicago.”
