Don’t let the final score of 28-25 fool you — the Dallas Cowboys got absolutely steamrolled by the Baltimore Ravens in their Week 3 matchup as they entered the fourth quarter down 28-6 before scoring 19 unanswered points, many of them in garbage time.

Despite the sluggish start to their season and the embarrassing nature of their loss to the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Dak Prescott was feeling mouthy after the game as the highest-paid player in NFL history could be seen saying “jump off [the bandwagon] if you want” as he was walking to the locker room after the game.

In the loss to the Ravens, which dropped the Cowboys record on the season to 1-2, Prescott completed 28 of 51 passes(54.9%) for 379 yards and two touchdowns. Just a few hours prior to the start of the 2024 season, the Cowboys signed the 31-year-old Prescott to a record-breaking four-year, $240 million deal.

Prescott’s words are incredibly hollow considering it’s the same story with the Dallas Cowboys quite literally every season, as they haven’t been to the NFC Championship Game since 1995 and routinely oscillate between regular-season excellence and mediocrity.

Luckily for the Cowboys, none of the NFC East teams look like they are running away with the division this season, so Dallas should be in it until the end of the season unless the bottom completely falls out.

The Cowboys face a quick turnaround as their Week 4 game is a road matchup against the New York Giants, who just picked up their first win of the season, on Thursday Night Football.

From there, the Cowboys’ schedule gets particularly difficult, as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and Houston Texans between Week 5 and Week 10.
