Dak Prescott insists that his rumored ankle injury is not a concern and used the new Post Malone album ‘F1 Trillion‘ to make his point. It was an entirely unserious approach to a very serious topic.

The 31-year-old quarterback tried to be sneaky and seemingly pulled it off.

Prescott suffered a gruesome right ankle injury against the New York Giants in 2020. His dislocation and compound fracture took nearly a year to fully recover. And “fully” might not be an accurate term because his ankle will never be the same.

As a result of the nasty break, Prescott often deals with some lingering ankle pain and tries to prevent discomfort by wearing a walking boot.

One particular photo of the signal-caller in a boot on vacation went viral at the beginning of July and Cowboys fans panicked. Understandably so!

However, Prescott tried to downplay the injury as no big deal — even though it is. Anytime a player’s surgically repaired anything continues to nag, it is worth keeping an eye on. Especially almost four years later.

With training camp in full swing and the season on the horizon, Prescott was asked about his ankle.

To answer the question, as well as a few others, he called upon Post Malone. Posty is a big Dallas fan and dropped a new album at 12:01 a.m. on Friday. Prescott worked the song titles into his press conference!

These kinds of videos have been all the rage on social media over the past few months, where athletes and celebrities sneak various unrelated words/sayings into their interviews. However, for Dak Prescott to use one of Post Malone’s song titles to shut down rumors about his ankle injury is a new one!

It certainly doesn’t help to dispel any concerns…

Why would someone whose ankle is at 100% wear a walking boot? Preventative or otherwise, that just isn’t good.
