The Dallas Cowboys have gotten off to a rough start to their 2024 season as they fell to 1-2 after Sunday’s Week 3 home loss to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

Entering the year, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was already on the hot seat as he’s in the final year of his contract, and that seat will only be getting warmer following Big D’s shaky start to the campaign.

Comments like these from cornerback Jourdan Lewis certainly won’t help McCarthy’s case, as he ripped the team as being “not detailed in their work” in an expletive-laden rant after the 28-25 loss.

“We’ve got to be detailed,. At the end of the day, this s— is about us stopping people. That’s just what it is. We’ve gotta be credible and f—— accountable every single play, and that’s for 60 minutes of football,” Lewis said.

“It don’t matter who we play, we’ve got to go out there and be detailed in the plays. It don’t matter who we play. This is the NFL, if we are not doing that sh-t, anybody can beat us. … We are not detailed in our work. You can take advantage of the details. So that’s how you win in this league. Everybody’s good in this league. It’s the details that make you different.”

To be fair to McCarthy, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys’ front office didn’t do much to help him as the general consensus among NFL analysts seems to be that the Cowboys got worse during the offseason.

While quarterback Dak Prescott was seen telling fans to “jump off the bandwagon if they want,” it’s difficult to be optimistic about the Cowboys season when looking at both their issues as a team and their upcoming schedule.

Following a trip to the New York Giants for Thursday Night Football this week, from Week 5 to Week 1o, the Cowboys face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and Houston Texans.
