Dan Hurley went viral during the final moments of an Elite Eight win over Duke in the NCAA Tournament. His wife, Andrea, is now making waves, too.

She was seen having a heads-up response amid a UCONN basketball celebration that followed the game-winning shot.

Andrea Hurley did her part to prevent a costly technical foul. She corralled players on the bench in hopes of keeping them from entering the field of play.

She did so despite knowing nothing about the sport!

Dan Hurley’s wife does not know ball.

“She knows nothing,” the head coach said on a recent Pardon My Take podcast appearance. “She doesn’t know anything about basketball. I said to her on the plane, ‘This is wild, huh? Three out of four years you’re going to the Final Four. Did you ever imagine this with your life?’

“She’s like, ‘I didn’t even know a Final Four existed until four years ago.'”

That lack of knowledge did not stop her from understanding a big moment. Her basketball IQ was high on the final play of UCONN’s most recent win.

Andrea Hurley had a heads-up response.

The Huskies hit a go-ahead three-pointer on their final possession of a win over Duke. Everyone in the arena was in a state of shock, Hurley’s parents included.

While her husband was busy headbutting officials, Andrea worked to avoid a technical foul.

The coach’s wife directed players to stay on the sidelines. Entering live play could’ve warranted punishment, resulting in Duke free throws.

It didn’t happen, though the Blue Devils would’ve like to have seen a foul issued.

UCONN won the basketball game, 73-72. Dan Hurley’s wife helped preserve that victory. The Huskies will now move on to face Illinois in the Final Four.
