UFC CEO Dana White was finally asked about Conor McGregor’s civil lawsuit, and things got a bit awkward. Earlier this month, McGregor lost a civil lawsuit in Ireland after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her back in 2018.
McGregor was ordered to pay $328k in damages to the woman as well as her legal costs. Since the trial ended, the Irish MMA star has lost several marketing deals due to the backlash.
On Saturday night, White was asked about McGregor’s lawsuit during the UFC 310 postfight press conference, and things got a bit awkward when he refused to comment on it.
“What do you mean what’s my reaction? White told a reporter. “If I had a comment I would have put it out already.”
White was then asked when he expects McGregor to fight.
“If he does fight, it’ll be some time next year”
