The Oklahoma Sooners had Senior Day this past Saturday with the team playing its final home game of the season. That finale would end in fireworks as the Sooners downed seventh-ranked Alabama, 24-3.

For defensive star Danny Stutsman, it was a night to remember. While he only racked up four tackles in the contest, he played an integral role in keeping the Crimson Tide out of the endzone.

Oklahoma held Alabama to just 234 total yards while picking Jalen Milroe off twice. It represented validation for Stutsman, who spurned the NFL Draft to return for one final year in Norman.

The linebacker has become a fan favorite across four seasons with the program. He had opportunities to leave when Lincoln Riley bolted for USC. He chose to stay. He could’ve bailed after a 6-7 campaign as a sophomore. He chose to stay.

Then, after a second straight 100-takedown season last year, he could’ve gone pro. He chose to stay.

Further entrenching himself into the hearts of Sooners, he never missed the opportunity to troll – with rival Texas receiving the brunt of his trash talk.

This year hasn’t gone quite as planned for Oklahoma. Danny Stutsman probably didn’t envision being 6-5 at this point after going 10-3 as a junior. But that might’ve made this Senior Day victory all the sweeter!

As a memento, Stutsman planned to keep his gameday jersey from the upset win. Unfortunately, when he got back to his locker after the game, it was gone!

Seems like my senior night jersey got taken from my locker after the game… if found please dm me, I kind of want that.

Luckily, the mystery of his stolen jersey appears to have been solved. Oklahoma’s social media team posted a photo of the jersey hanging in the football facility alongside a photo from the game. There, you can see it positioned next to other Sooner greats, including NFL passer Kyler Murray.

It looks like Danny Stutsman won’t be taking the jersey home after all! That said, he’ll have an opportunity to look back on that Senior Day performance each time he steps foot on the Oklahoma campus. Case closed!
