Ole Miss Football Recruit Buries Delusional Auburn Fans With Just One Word After Flipping Commitment

Dante Core committed to play college football at Auburn back in May. He flipped his commitment to Ole Miss on Monday after watching the Rebels upset the Georgia Bulldogs over the weekend.

Tigers immediately tried to justify why the change of mind was actually a good thing for their program.

Core, a three-star defensive back prospect from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, holds 20 scholarship offers from schools ranging from East Carolina and Arkansas State to LSU and Tennessee. Auburn got him to commit during an unofficial visit, but Lane Kiffin and his staff got him on campus just a few weeks later.

As the Tigers trended downward during the early season, the Rebels continued to push Core to reconsider his decision. The Party in the ‘Sip on Saturday ultimately proved to be the difference.

Dante Core stormed the field in Oxford and immediately decommitted from Auburn less than 72 hours later. Ole Miss received good news shortly thereafter.

To help lessen the blow of what could be the first of many flips over the next few weeks, Barners on the Plains pointed to their program’s average star rating for the Class of 2025. Because Core is considered a three-star recruit, his decision to decommit actually boosted that number. So, technically speaking, if you squint your eyes really hard and allow the brain worms to takeover, Auburn’s recruiting class actually got better because one of its commits decided to play for an SEC West rival.

Yes, that is actually how Tigers fans see this most recent development. Makes sense, right? (It doesn’t.)

In response to the extremely skewed justification, Core responded back with just one word.

Nothing more needs to be said. Dante Core would rather play for Ole Miss than Auburn. Anyone on the Plains who sees that as a positive is just coping with the loss.
