Highlight Video Of Flag Football QB Who Called Out Patrick Mahomes Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons

Earlier this week, USA National Team Flag Football QB Darrell Doucette called out three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.

Doucette claimed that he was a better flag football player than Mahomes, and thus deserved a spot on the inaugural Olympic flag football team in 2028.

Unfortunately for the 35-year-old, who did not play organized college or professional football, the internet exists.

Twitter user @MossedYaMom posted a “highlight” video of Doucette on Thursday and somehow it was even worse than you could’ve imagined.

The video shows Doucette throwing a touchdown pass from about 15 yards out. However, he also winds up like a pitching machine at the batting cages before slingshotting the ball down the field.

Mind you, this is what Doucette had to say about PATRICK MAHOMES.

“At the end of the day, I feel like I’m better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game. I know, right now, he’s the best in the league. I know he’s more accurate, I know he has all these intangibles, but when it comes to flag football, I feel like I know more than him.”

Y’know, it’s hard to knock his confidence. Self-belief is an important element of athletic success.

But come on. There has to be some element of self-awareness here.

I could beat many of my friends in a swimming race. I am not outswimming Michael Phelps. Ever. In any fashion.

Mahomes, to his credit, took the whole thing in stride. He posted a GIF of 50 Cent saying “I’m like what he say f— me for” in response to Doucette’s comments.

Flag Football likely isn’t long for the Olympics. It got added strictly because the U.S. is hosting in Los Angeles and the NFL lobbied for it.

But if we don’t get a Megazord of NFL stars on the U.S. team it will be failure of unimaginable magnitude.

Sorry, Darrell.
