Davante Adams could have stayed in Green Bay if he wanted, but he ultimately decided to play with his former college QB Derek Carr in Las Vegas.

On Thursday night, Adams was shockingly traded by the Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders immediately signed Adams to a massive contract.

According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, the Packers were willing to pay Adams “as much or more than the Raiders,” but the wide receiver wanted to play alongside Carr.

It is worth noting that Adams said “it would be a dream” to play with Carr during an interview last year.

Adams also recently bought a home next door to Carr in Las Vegas.
