Davante Adams Already Threw His New York Jets Teammates Under The Bus After Just Five Days

Davante Adams was not wrong with his criticism of the New York Jets after another loss on Sunday. However, his teammates probably did not appreciate how he threw them under the bus as the newest member of the organization.

The 31-year-old wide receiver offered criticism toward the entire season despite just five days with the team.

Adams lost to the Steelers as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 13. He was traded to the Jets on Tuesday, Oct. 15. New York lost to Pittsburgh on Sunday, Oct. 20.

It was a rollercoaster week for the three-time First-Team All-Pro pass-catcher that featured two losses to the same team in seven days and a reunion with Aaron Rodgers. The latter, based on the former, did not go particularly well.

Rodgers targeted Adams nine times throughout the game. They only connected on three passes for 30 yards in the first half.

That was it! Adams did not catch a single pass in the third or fourth quarters. His longest reception went for only 11 yards and he did not score a touchdown.

The Jets took a two-point lead into the locker room at halftime. They did not score again and lost by 22.

When asked about what happened after the game, Davante Adams said that his team did not execute. That is true. He also said a lack of execution is the “underlying thing this year.” That is also true.
