Could superstar wide receiver Davante Adams be on his way to the Baltimore Ravens?

That’s what many are speculating after Adams posted a cryptic Instagram post on Friday with a picture of famed Baltimore native Edgar Allen Poe.

Poe, of course, is not only famous for being a Baltimore native. But the franchise is actually named after his famous poem, “The Raven.”

Adams recently requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas seemingly obliged. But the Raiders are reportedly seeking a second-round NFL Draft pick plus additional compensation for the 30-year-old superstar, who has two years remaining on his contract.

Baltimore Ravens Lead Long Line Of Teams Interested In Davante Adams

ESPN’s Mina Kimes reported that both Baltimore and AFC North rival Pittsbugh were players in the Davante Adams sweepstakes. While the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints could also be options. The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly made an inquiry regarding an Adams trade as well.

Adams revealed in the offseason that Aaron Rodgers attempted to lure him New York.

“He’s in the ear, that’s for sure, he’s in the ear,” the six-time Pro Bowler told “Up & Adams”. “But it’s not as easy. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I’m a Raider, and he knows that.”

But it’s the Ravens who have everyone’s attention after Adams’ post, and fans feel he’d be a perfect fit in Baltimore.

Maybe it ends up as nothing. But it sure seems like Adams knows something that we don’t.
