DDG made sure to express his appreciation for Kai Cenat on Sunday. Over the weekend, Twitch streamer DDG was named the MVP of Cenat’s Streamer University, a weekend-long stream at the University of Akron featuring top streamers teaching smaller streams the tricks of the trade.
DDG’s appearance at Streamer U was a bit controversial due to his ex-girlfriend actress Halle Bailey accusing him of physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse in a restraining order request in California earlier this month.
“I realize that there is no placating Darryl,” Bailey said in a statement. “I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son be in his mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse.”
After being awarded MVP of Streamer U, DDG acknowledged the controversy surrounding him and thanked Cenat for inviting him out despite the allegations.
“I want to shout out to Kai for always seeing the good in me, I know a lot of y’all be seeing the sh– o the Internet. So I really appreciate for having me.”
