Deion Sanders is finally ready to update fans on his medical situation. For the past few months, Sanders has been away from his team and living on his Texas ranch throughout the summer while dealing with a mysterious illness.
Last month, Sanders’ son Deion Jr. said his father would address the public when he’s ready
“He’ll tell y’all soon enough what he going through, what he went through,” Sanders’ son, Deion Jr. said on a recent YouTube live stream. “When we get back in Boulder, I don’t know. I’m waiting until my dad leaves. When he leaves, then I’ll go. Until then, I’m gonna sit here with him.”
During the Big 12 media day, Sanders shut down questions about his health.
“I’m not here to talk about my health,” said Sanders “I’m here to talk about my team.”
“I’m already back. I’m here today. I’m handling my responsibilities. So, I look forward to it. I can’t wait. You’ve got to understand, some of the young [players] I haven’t even met yet. I’m so excited about that.”
According to various reports, Sanders and his doctors will speak to the media on Monday about his health.

As of now, it’s unclear what Sanders will say at the press conference, but hopefully, his health situation is cleared and he can coach at Colorado next season.
