The University of Colorado security team likely is not thrilled with Deion Sanders‘ plea to students. He wants them to “act a fool” during the Buffaloes’ first game of the college football season next weekend.

Lord knows it is never a good idea to give college kids an extra reason to be hooligans!

Coach Prime desperately needs to win his second season-opener as the head coach in Boulder. He, and his children, have talked a lot of trash toward former players, future opponents, the media and everyone in between. Colorado will be the laughing stock of college football if it does not make a bowl game (again) — which is a very realistic possibility.

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are two of the biggest names in sports and the Buffaloes overhauled a large majority of its roster through the transfer portal. There is an expectation that this year’s team will be much better than last but only time will tell.

Next Thursday is the first challenge!

A North Dakota State program that is historically dominant on the FCS level will roll into Folsom Field with nothing to lose. The Bison are 9.5-point underdogs in the game. They are the second-ranked team on their respective level after reaching losing a semifinal game in double overtime last December.

It is going to be a raucous environment. Colorado sold-out its allotment of season tickets for the second time in program history and the student body is, obviously, more invested than ever.

Deion Sanders wants them to behave this weekend, during the early portion next week, and during the day on Thursday. Come Thursday night, however, he needs them to be loud and obnoxious.

His message to the freshman class was clear.

Although Coach Prime was using a figure of speech, you just know that the security team tensed up when they heard him say those words “act a fool.” Keep an eye on Boulder, it’s going to be mayhem!
