Deion Sanders’ Former Player Claims Colorado Locker Room Plagued By ‘Fights, Guns And Money’

The Deion Sanders Era at Colorado may have gotten off to a fantastic start, but now it appears that things are quickly headed in the opposite direction.

The Buffaloes went 1-8 in their final nine games of the 2023 season, and now a former Colorado player has revealed that the locker room atmosphere is teetering on the edge of disaster.

“It’s like a real-life Grand Theft Auto video game,” an anonymous former player told Athlon Sports. “There are many distractions with fights, guns, and money floating around. The environment is unlike any I’ve come from before.”

That comment echoed sentiments expressed by former five-star cornerback Cormani McClain. Although McClain has also dealt with similar issues with his new team as well according to reports.

“Cormani was taking a lot of heat from everyone,” the former player said of McClain. “At the same time Coach Prime was saying he was in the doghouse and needed to improve, Cormani was getting bullied by Shilo (Sanders). After the Oregon State game, Shilo slapped him several times, which left Cormani screaming ‘I’m going to kill you’ repeatedly. After that, you could tell he wasn’t mentally there. It’s hard when the coaches you trust are calling you derogatory names on the practice field.”

But McClain isn’t alone.

Jordan Seaton, another five-star recruit, allegedly faced similar bullying and was picked to fight former CU lineman Savion Washington in order to “prove his manhood”, according to Athlon.

Athlon states the two came to blows in April, leaving each bloodied.

Meanwhile, Colorado commit Ebenezer Bouzi was arrested for allegedly threatening a girl with a gun six months before he was charged with misdemeanor battery stemming from an incident last year according to the Naples Daily News.

Not a good sign for fans hoping Coach Prime will turn things around in his second season.
