Deion Sanders Makes Eye-Opening Comments About New York Jets Front Office Opening

With Shedeur Sanders‘ college football career over, many fans wondered if his father Deion Sanders might well follow him to the NFL. For now, it appears that the elder Sanders is happy to stay put at Colorado. But a recent comment about the New York Jets’ general manager job is eye-opening to say the least.

Many fans expect that Shedeur could well end up playing in New York, but for the Giants, who currently hold the No. 4 pick in the NFL draft. However, the New York Jets could well end up picking as high as No. 2 with a loss in the final game of the season and look likely to pick anywhere from 5-7. That puts them perfectly in the area when Shedeur Sanders could be drafted.

Why is that notable? Because the Jets also just interviewed Louis Riddick for their vacant general manager position. And Deion Sanders, a friend and former teammate of Riddick, is pushing for him to get the job.

Should Riddick get the job, it could well set off a chain reaction. Deion Sanders has already stated he’ll play a role in where his son gets drafted. If the Jets are picking highly and Riddick is the GM, it would appear he’d be happy for Shedeur to go to New York and wear green and white.

But the Jets also have a head coaching vacancy. See where we’re going with this? If Riddick gets the job, he could well add both Shedeur and Deion Sanders to the Jets organization in 2025.

Is it a particularly likely scenario? No, probably not. But it really doesn’t take too many steps to connect the dots, and it would be fantastic televesion.
