Deion Sanders appeared on the Nightcap Show this week with Chad Johnson and Shannon Sharpe. In doing so, he teased some potential NFL landing spots for a pair of his star players.

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders are each expected to be selected very early in the 2025 NFL Draft. Though we’re still a ways away from knowing who will own those first picks, early season performance has provided a few contenders.

Coach Prime jokingly broke those suitors down while speaking on Sanders and Hunter.

At one point in the conversation, the Jacksonville Jaguars became the topic of discussion. Deion Sanders couldn’t believe they were winless!

Should that trend continue, the head coach insinuated that Jacksonville would be Hunter’s next destination!

Of course, things could change as 13 games remain on the NFL schedule. That said, Sanders expects his dual-threat star to be selected with the first pick!

With his son, Shedeur, though, it seems Prime has a preference.

Deion Sanders teases Las Vegas Raiders marriage for Shedeur Sanders.

The context of the conversation revolved around Russell Wilson potentially being picked up by the Raiders. Deion Sanders says there’s no reason to make a move for the veteran. They can get their QB in the draft!

The Sanders’ infatuation with Sin City and the organization has been noted. During Big XII media day, Deion Sanders replied, “That would be nice,” when asked about the Raiders drafting Shedeur.

Las Vegas currently sits at 2-2 on the season, and as Chad Johnson and Shannon Sharpe suggested, the team could be looking for a quarterback in the near future. You’d have to believe the Colorado star would be on the radar.

Coach Prime believes his son is best suited for a team that’s looking to rise from the ashes, whether that’s the Raiders or not. He says Shedeur will thrive for a franchise that’s seen recent struggles.

“You’ve got to understand, Shedeur, he’s suited for adversity,” Sanders said. “All of our life we’ve been hated and mistreated and talked about and lied on… He ain’t never had the red carpet rolled out to him… He had to earn everything he has, so he’s suited to go to a team that’s been up on adversity because that’s what he’s done all his life.”

Should Sanders keep that Top 5 draft status, he’ll likely land with a team that’s not been used to winning. He’s built for that situation, according to his father.
