Women’s basketball star Deja Kelly made two debuts with her new school on Monday night. At 4 PM local time, she played in her first game as an Oregon Duck.

About an hour after the contest wrapped up, she grabbed a mic to report courtside at the men’s team’s matchup. Kelly pulled double duty, and she shined in each role!

The guard transferred to Oregon this past offseason after spending four years across the country at North Carolina. With the Tar Heels, she averaged 15.3 points while making 120 starts.

After four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, she decided to seek a fresh start.

She left Chapel Hill with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, which she’s put to immediate use in Eugene, but not at the detriment of her playing career.

Deja Kelly started her first game with the Ducks against Cal Baptist. She recorded 10 points, eight assists, and seven boards to fall just shy of a triple-double.

Oregon won the game, 93-63.

After making a quick wardrobe change, she was back on the court but in a reporting role. Kelly broke the action down courtside in the Ducks’ men’s team’s 91-76 victory over UC Riverside.

Kelly is building her broadcast portfolio, which already includes appearances on the WNBA Countdown. She also hosts a podcast called 411 with Deja where she interviews notable women’s basketball players for WSLAM.

The hoops star is expected to be back on the back on the floor for the Ducks on Wednesday night when they face off against Nevada. She could also return to the sidelines when the men’s squad faces Montana later in the week.
