NBA veteran Dennis Schroder has rehashed his beef with superstar Kevin Durant, which dates back to the duo’s recent trip to Paris for the Summer Olympics.

Schroder called KD “weak” for his petty response to a take on European basketball as it compares to US hoops.

While in Paris, Schroder attempted to detail the subtle differences between FIBA and the NBA.

“European basketball is no entertainment,” he said. “It’s straight IQ basketball, straight coaching, and really, really high IQ guys who know how to play the game.”

Essentially, set plays and scheme can be more important than talent alone.

It was a topic that Durant was rather opinionated on. He believes the beauty of basketball is in the randomness.

The beauty of basketball is not callin all them sets but playing off instincts and lettin the talent dictate the game.. gettin out in transition, driving and kicking, playing random basketball. U want a trick play every possession like it’s football. That’s not why our game is beautiful.

Durant certainly wasn’t dismissing the ideas of game planning and calling plays, but he thinks at some point, utilizing a talent advantage to attack an opponent is most beneficial.

Simply a difference of opinion!

KD and Team USA would go onto win gold at the Paris Olympics, prompting Durant to create a post referencing Schroder’s words.

Dennis Schroder has responded to Kevin Durant’s slight.

The Team Germany star was asked about Durant’s post during a recent Twitch stream. He blasted a “weak” KD in his reply.

“For me, that’s just being weak,” he said. “You’re that type of a star and you have to say something to a person like me. I didn’t mean it to be negative, I was just seeing from both sides… I didn’t appreciate it.”

Schroder obviously took some offense, though he noted that he respects his fellow NBA players. He was simply detailing his experience having played for both leagues!

We’ll see if Kevin Durant responds to Dennis Schroder’s reply.
