Denny Hamlin will leave Las Vegas as a winner regardless of how he finishes at the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday afternoon. The 44-year-old NASCAR driver won three massive jackpots on the slot machine in back-to-back nights and won more than $250,000 in less than 24 hours.

His streak of good luck could not come with better timing considering his struggles with sponsorships. Although it is not apples to apples, getting paid out a six-figure sum during a time where money is not guaranteed has to feel pretty good.

Hamlin arrived to Las Vegas on Friday prior to the NASCAR race on Sunday and immediately hit it big. He sat down at a Buffalo slot machine to try his luck. That ultimately won him more than $125,000 on an ‘Ultimate Stampede.’ It will be a smaller payout after taxes but still. Not too shabby.

And he was not done there!

Hamlin was back at the Buffalo slots on Saturday night when a $500 bet turned into more than $85,000. His total for the weekend exceeded $200,000.

AND HE WAS NOT DONE THERE!

Not too long after cashing $85,000+, Denny Hamlin did it again. A $300 bet turned into more than $65,000 and his total for the weekend jumped above the $250,000 mark.

Of course, to make money in Las Vegas, you must first spend money. I am unable to figure out exactly how much money was lost before Hamlin walked away from the slot machines. His remaining credit during the third stampede win would indicate that there was a pretty big loss before the huge gain.

Nevertheless, Denny Hamlin will leave Nevada with a bank account that is no less than $100,000 richer. That is a weekend that most people will only experience in their dreams.

To make his wins even sweeter, Joe Gibbs Racing has struggled to find a sponsor for the No. 11 car this season. Sponsorship money does not typically have a major impact on a driver’s salary. But with that being said, there is usually some trickle down. Just not right now because of the sponsorship issues. So these three jackpots are a nice bump! A win on Sunday would be even better!
