Classmate Of Dan Campbell’s Daughter Doxxed Lions Head Coach After Playoff Loss Leading To Him Selling House

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is already one of the most successful coaches in the franchise’s nearly 100-year history.

But that isn’t good enough for one young fan, who doxxed Campbell following the team’s 34-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in January, leading to Campbell and his family selling the house and moving.

According to the Detroit News, the fan was a classmate of Campbell’s daughter Piper.

Lyle Dungy of the NFL’s Security Department reportedly told police that a classmate of Campbell’s daughter posted the family’s home address on Snapchat along with the message “Dumb f— trying to go for it.”

The classmate is reportedly a year younger than Campbell’s daughter and attended an exclusive private school. He did not show up to school the day following the loss and investigators later went to his house to seek him out.

The Detroit News states that investigators spoke with the student’s mother, who was compliant throughout the investigation.

“Leslie stated that she was aware of the situation and that Mrs. Campbell had already contacted her and left her a message about (the classmate’s) post,” the police report states. “Leslie stated (her son) ‘re-posted, the post was only up for 3 minutes, he had 30 views on the post, believed it was a fake address, and quickly removed it after he thought about it.”

Investigators later spoke to the student, who claimed the address was already on Snapchat. He stated that he saw a post calling for fans to go egg Campbell’s house.

(ED note: Have these kids SEEN Dan Campbell? Not somebody I’d recommend messing with!)

The student claims he copied the address and shared it on his own post. Campbell and his family did not press charges. But they were forced to move out of concern for future safety.

Which is all to say, don’t doxx NFL head coach. In fact, don’t doxx assistant coaches, or players, or anyone, really.
