Stugotz has Dianna Russini’s back if she gets fired by The Athletic/NY Times.

Earlier this week, Russini was photographed with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel in a hot tub at an adults-only resort in Arizona.

Russini immediately denied that she and Vrabel were alone and that anything inappropriate was happening.

“The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day.” said Russini “Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”

Front Office Sports would later report that The Athletic were investigating Russini, and wanted her to prove her claims.

“Nevertheless, sources told FOS that The Athletic is pressing for proof about Russini’s claim that they were there with other people. In the days since the Post’s story was published, there has been no public evidence to support the claims. Russini posted an Athletic story by another author on Twitter/X on Thursday, but has not published any stories for the outlet since the photos with Vrabel were released on Tuesday”

On Friday, Jon Weiner, better known as Stugotz, offered Russini a job if she got fired by The Athletic.

“I’ll tell you this of any Dianna Russini discussion that I’m going to have, if The Athletic gets ride of her, she’ll be sitting right next to me and Izzy doing the show. How does that sound okay?”

While things aren’t looking good for Russini, it’s kind of cool that someone has her back.
