Diego Pavia beat Auburn in overtime on Saturday night. He flew to Miami to party with Theo Von and Johnny Manziel on Sunday… into Monday.
The 24-year-old Vanderbilt quarterback is living his best life!
This new era of college football has completely changed the game for star athletes like Pavia. Not only is he of legal drinking age, I would imagine his academic course load is likely pretty light at this stage of his career. He is also getting paid a good chunk of money through NIL and revenue share. It must be sweet.
Diego Pavia beat Auburn in overtime on Saturday.
The Commodores found themselves down by 10 points to the Tigers at halftime. They rallied back with 28 points during the second half to send the game to overtime.
Vanderbilt’s defense kept Auburn from scoring on its first possession of the extra period, which gave the ball right back to the offense. Jerry Kill, Clark Lea and Tim Beck dialed up a beauty on 1st-and-goal.
In hopes of baiting the Tigers into stacking the box to stop a Pavia run, the Commodores went with their heaviest personnel package. And then Pavia threw a sneaky jump pass to Cole Spence for the win.
PAVIA. SPENCE. JUMP PASS. TD

He finished 25-of-33 for 377 yards and three touchdowns without an interception and 18 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown as the team’s leading rusher. Although Pavia likely will not win the Heisman Trophy, the committee should at least give him an invitation to New York City.
Love him or hate him — you watched!
Vanderbilt’s starting quarterback partied with Theo Von and Johnny Manziel in Miami on Sunday.
Less than 18 hours after Vanderbilt beat Auburn in Tennessee, Diego Pavia was on the ground in Florida with Theo Von. (I would imagine he went to Whiskey Row on Saturday night!)

They were there to celebrate the birthday of Jasmin Medar, the President of Global Business Development at Palm Tree Crew Holdings. I was not previously aware of Medar but I definitely am now!
(Jasmin, if you somehow happen to read this, I will be in Miami for a bachelor party in February! HMU!) (I digress.)
Medar threw an absolute banger at the Palm Tree Club on Miami Beach. Von and Pavia were there. As were Glenny Balls, Skylar Maximillian Hauswirth, Ben Kaplan and Gregory Bennati, among others.

The ratio was… pretty good!

Not too long thereafter, it was off to dinner. Diego Pavia shot his shot at Tate McRae while hilariously flexing a stack of one-dollar bills.
And then it was back to the club. Pavia and company pulled up to Kiki On The River to party with Johnny Manziel until at least three o’clock in the morning, per timestamps on Instagram.

Diego Pavia hopped on a private jet to fly back to Nashville on Monday afternoon. Just like that!

For all of the fun-haters out there who are going to try and criticize Pavia for partying in Miami on a game week, Vanderbilt is on a bye. Relax.
