The Vanderbilt Commodores are fresh off a historic win over SEC rival Alabama, taking the Crimson Tide down 40-35 in Nashville. Starting quarterback Diego Pavia is looking to benefit financially after the upset.
Pavia was seen posting about potential NIL opportunities while the eyes of college football fans were still on his Commodores. He’s hoping to strike while the iron’s hot!
Pavia was incredible in the monumental win, which was the program’s first over a Top 5 opponent. He torched the Alabama defense to the tune of 252 passing yards and two scores, providing big play after big play.
That Crimson Tide team doubted the ‘Dores ahead of kickoff. Pavia broke down some pregame trash talk during a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show.
“At the coin toss, they were talking crazy,” he recalled. “They thought that they were gonna come in here and treat us like we were an FCS team. We were like, ‘Oh, you must not know… We’re gonna see.’
“They were laughing, talking crazy… When they said, ‘We’re taking the ball, they’re kicking off,’ we didn’t even shake their hands.”

It was the signal caller who got the last laugh, giving a fiery postgame interview that further won college football viewers over.
“Vandy, we’re f—ing TURNT!” he shouted while fans rushed the field from their stadium seats.
It’s nothing new for Diego Pavia, who saw similar production at his previous stop.
The passer played two seasons at New Mexico State, taking over a team that had gone 8-30 in the four seasons prior. While under center, he led the Aggies to back-to-back bowl appearances capped by a 10-win campaign in 2023.
He buoyed his production in that case into an opportunity in the SEC. Now, he’s taking his success one step further!

Interest from potential partners is apparently high, leading the passer to post his point of contact for NIL opportunities on social media. And he’s hoping more continue to roll in!
“Games like this change your life,” he stated in that viral postgame interview. We’re seeing that play out in real time.
Pavia has been a star at the college level, but his outlook as an NFL prospect is still uncertain. He’s looking to cash in now with the spotlight still on Nashville. He’s definitely earned it after taking down the top-ranked Tide!
