Diego Pavia is currently in Alabama for the Senior Bowl. He allegedly spent the night before the game at the bar.
I put a heavy emphasis on “allegedly” because I am not able to confirm this information myself and I can only go off of what I have seen.
Should this account of what happened be true, it is a bad look for one of the most controversial players in recent college football history. NFL teams are not going to like that he cannot keep himself in check.
Diego Pavia is at the Senior Bowl.
The second-place finisher in Heisman Trophy voting arrived to Mobile, Alabama earlier this week as one of six quarterbacks invited to the Senior Bowl.
Diego Pavia immediately grabbed headlines with his height. We already knew he was short but New Mexico State and Vanderbilt both listed the quarterback at 6-foot-0. His official measurement was not even close. He could be the second-shortest quarterback in National Football League history.
Despite his vertical challenges, Pavia put up crazy numbers with the Commodores in 2025 and all he does is win. Love him or hate him, you watched.
But will his ability to succeed in college translate to the NFL? That’s what we’re going to find out.
Pavia has been sharp during Senior Bowl practices.

However, it is during game situations where he really stands out. The game is scheduled for Saturday.
Was he at the bar on the night before the game?
This is where that word “allegedly” comes into play. I did not have boots on the ground in Mobile last night. Nor do I have a direct source for this information. I can only share what has already been shared.
Old Row Sports received a direct message on Instagram at 1:30 a.m. Two photos were included.
One photo appears to show a cracked iPhone. The second photo shows a guy wearing a grey sweatshirt talking to a girl at the bar. His face is not visible. You cannot make out his identity.
The direct message implies it was Diego Pavia, who smashed the phone after his picture was taken.
Here is a closer look at the guy at the bar:

Is that Pavia wearing the same team-issued sweatshirt he wore on the Pivot Podcast? Hard to tell.
I do not know whether Diego Pavia was actually hitting on girls at the bar on the night before the Senior Bowl like the DM to Old Row Sports suggests, but it would not be surprising. He is the modern day Johnny Manziel when it comes to how he balances football and partying.
Neither Pavia, nor his representation, nor Vanderbilt, nor the Senior Bowl has issued a statement at this time. We have not yet received confirmation or denial.
