The wife and children of late Liverpool star Diogo Jota were in attendance at Anfield on Saturday, December 27 for the match between LFC and Wolves, Jota’s two former Premier League clubs. The match marked the first time that the two clubs have faced off since Jota’s untimely passing in July at the age of 28 years old.
Prior to the match, two of Diogo Jota’s children — Dinis and Duarte — alongside additional members of his family joined Liverpool Football Club captain Virgil Van Dijk as official mascots for the match.
Jota and his brother Andre Silva were killed in car accident in Spain on July 3 while driving on the A-52 motorway near the north-west city of Zamora when their Lamborghini came off the road and caught fire.
