Disney CEO Bob Iger is going to make his ManningCast debut amid the YouTube TV dispute.
For the past two weeks, ESPN has been unavailable on YouTube TV amid a dispute over carriage fees.
While the two sides were negotiating, Disney execs blasted YouTube TV in a memo to employees.
“Rather than compete on a level playing field, Google’s YouTube TV has approached these negotiations as if it were the only player in the game,” the memo read. It was signed by three high-ranking Disney executives, Disney Entertainment co-chairmen Dana Walden and Alan Bergman, along with ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro.
“It goes without saying that the reason so many consumers value our programming above others is because we invest in the best talent, creators and content in the world, and we cannot allow anyone to undercut our ability to do so.”
On Sunday, YouTube TV offered a $20 credit to subscribers while the blackout continues.
Members: We’ve been working to negotiate a deal with Disney that pays them fairly for their content and returns their programming to YouTube TV. We know it’s been disappointing to lose Disney channels, and in light of the disruption, we’re offering our subscribers a $20 credit.

If Bob Iger doesn’t come on and announce that they have a deal in place then @Shanemgillis better just spend his visit trashing the entire situation https://t.co/OLNvVg8QfG
