DK Metcalf and Jalen Ramsey have beef that dates back to December of 2019. The two NFL superstars have gone at each other multiple times throughout the last five years and do not like each other.
A young football fan recently brought up the rivalry to Metcalf, which did not go over well.
Metcalf was in Los Angeles to work out at Cathedral High School. Naturally, a group of students gathered to watch the Seattle Seahawks’ star wide receiver catch some passes and run some routes.
One of them decided to throw a jab in his direction. He told Metcalf that Ramsey is his daddy, which prompted a response. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound 26-year-old came back around the corner to call him out and make him say it to his face.
To the high schooler’s credit, he did. However, Metcalf proceeded to humble him with three simple words:
“Who are you?”
Although Shawne Merriman may not be the best role model out there, the former three-time Pro Bowler offered his thoughts on the viral video. His perspective on the entire situation was reflective toward the current generation of social media and clout.
It’s getting worse and worse out here, I couldn’t imagine approaching any pro athlete like this growing up. It would’ve been a privilege just to meet them and ask questions. Great job, D.K. Metcalf, handling that.

Here’s the thing. The high schooler was just trying to be funny in front of his friends. It totally backfired.
With all of that being said, the young man was not wrong… Jalen Ramsey has largely owned DK Metcalf in recent years.
The whole thing started in 2019. Ramsey held Metcalf to just three catches for 31 yards. The latter initiated a shoving match during the game and was hit with a 15-yard penalty.
One year later, Ramsey escalated the beef during a pre-game press conference.

Metcalf and the Seahawks won that game. However, the Rams beat the Seahawks a few months later. Metcalf slammed his helmet down on the sideline and yelled at his teammates after Ramsey locked him down.
Fast forward to 2022. Metcalf head-butted Ramsey and was fined $10,609. It was intentional.

Ramsey and Metcalf have not met since. They will play each other again this fall!
