The Miami Dolphins just couldn’t get out of the first round of the NFL Playoffs after losing to the Buffalo Bills in a close game.
Now, it appears the franchise is making a major change to the coaching staff. From the sounds of it, this team is serious about becoming a true contender.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins are officially hiring Vic Fangio as their new defensive coordinator. Additionally, Miami is spending some serious cash to bring him in. The well-respected defensive coach is becoming the highest-paid coordinator in the NFL after signing a three-year deal that comes with a fourth-year team option.

This is great news for the Dolphins as they now have a proven leader calling the shots on the defensive side of the ball. Vic Fangio is known as one of the best defensive minds in football. Couple that with Mike McDaniel’s creativity on offense and you have yourself a well-balanced team.
As you can imagine, Dolphins fans are all for this big hire.
What a get for us, huge. Absolutely buzzing. He's got some talent to play with, we are going to be scary.
