Last night, many felt Denver Broncos wr Bennie Fowler should have taken a knee instead of scoring a touchdown with three minutes left in the game against the Chiefs last night.
Via ProFootballTalk
Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy was saying that Fowler should go down.
The reason was simple: The Broncos led the Chiefs, 17-16, the Chiefs had just used their last timeout, and Fowler’s touchdown plus the one-point conversion gave Kansas City a chance to force overtime with a touchdown and a two-point conversion, which they did.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter also thought Fowler should have taken a knee which led to Warriors forward Draymond Green berating Schefter on Twitter.
If Broncos WR Bennie Fowler had just taken a knee near the end zone instead of going into the end zone, there's no OT and this game is over.
