This season has been challenging for Draymond Green who was sidelined with a back injury on January 6 that kept him out of the Warriors lineup for months. But now he’s back after returning on March 14th against the Wizards and all is right in Golden State world with Draymond, Steph, and Klay getting the band back together.
On the most recent episode of The Draymond Green Show, he opened up about the challenges of working through a tough injury in the middle of a season. And Draymond welcomed Joel Embiid as his guest on this episode who knows the challenges of overcoming injuries as well as anyone.
Embiid’s NBA debut was delayed by multiple injuries that basically hit the ‘pause’ button on his NBA career for two years. He’s now the current favorite (-140 odds) to win the NBA MVP so he’s a perfect guest to discuss overcoming injuries.
But the best part of the episode came later/after that discussion. Draymond Green and Joel Embiid get to trash-talking each other about double-teaming on defense, who’s gonna win the title this year, and Draymond even drags Stephen Curry into the discussion. If you’re an NBA fan it’s fair to say this is a must-watch.
