Texas A&M Girlfriend Dating Tennessee Pitcher Sets Record Straight About College World Series

Tennessee pitcher Drew Beam is dating a girl with major ties to Texas A&M. The Aggies are currently playing the Volunteers in the College World Series. It presents quite the conundrum!

Who will she root for??

Halle Hutchins made her relationship with Drew Beam official on Instagram in May of 2022. They have been going steady ever since despite the distance between them at their respective universities. She previously attended Texas State and currently resides in College Station with graduation set for next fall. He’s in Knoxville— or on the road.

Both Hutchins and Beam are currently in Omaha for the College World Series.

The Championship matchup creates an interesting dichotomy. Hutchins is rooting for Texas A&M. Hutchins is also rooting for her boyfriend, and therefore, Tennessee.

They shared a sweet moment after Game 2 on Sunday. Beam allowed just one run on three hits and two walks to lead the Vols to victory, which forced Game 3. He also recorded seven strikeouts.

His girlfriend was very proud.

Although Hutchins was thrilled for Beam, she was equally as bummed for her team— and her family!

Alicia Hutchins, Halle’s mom, set the record straight. Her husband Jason Hutchins, Halle’s father, is the director of operations for the Aggies. Jace Hutchins, Halle’s brother, played for his dad and currently serves as a student assistant coach. Halle also works for the team as a social media manager.

Although Alicia’s reply helped to clear things up, it didn’t quite address the initial post. Beam couldn’t find a suitable life partner at Tennessee so he had to date a girl from A&M. Tough look for the Vols!

All jokes aside, Halle has come to find a great balance with how she handles the unique relationship.

If the Aggies win, so does Halle. If Tennessee wins, Beam wins, and so does Halle. It’s a win-win!
