Drew Beam’s girlfriend, Halle Hutchins, found herself in an interesting predicament this College World Series. The daughter of a Texas A&M staff member, she is also the girlfriend of a Tennessee pitcher.
When the Vols and Aggies faced off for a national title this weekend, she was somewhat torn on which side to cheer for.
Hutchins made her loyalties clear on Sunday with the series tied at one game apiece. She was there to root on her father in the series, though she wanted to see her boyfriend succeed in his Game 2 start.
I was rooting for Drew Beam all the way today!!! but I have to say, my dad, Jason Hutchins, has worked 26 years for this moment. I would love to take this title home to College Station, TX. Our Aggie team is incredible and filled with the most amazing guys- we are family.

That makes sense given the ties on the A&M side go much, much deeper than those for UT.
While Jason Hutchins, Halle’s father, is the director of operations for the Aggies, her brother, Jace, also works for the baseball program as a student assistant coach.
Halle, herself, is even employed by the team as a social media manager – making it a bit of a no-brainer when it comes to her rooting responsibilities.
Hutchins received both attention and criticism while in Omaha due to her affiliation with both sides, leading her mother to rip fans that were trying to make it a negative storyline.

Halle Hutchins’ boyfriend, Drew Beam, did the same after the Vols’ title win.
Beam, who pitched four innings in a Game 2 win, blasted “hateful” followers attacking the couple’s relationship. He did so with a message on X Monday night.

Beam helped the Vols bring home their first baseball national championship in program history with his performance both throughout the season and in his lone CWS start.
Hutchins has been there to root him on every step of the way – even when he’s facing the Ags!
Clearly, the group has had enough of the negativity surrounding the relationship in Omaha. Now, they can finally put the storyline behind them and celebrate a national title.
