The court storming celebration that took place after a basketball game between ACC rivals Duke and North Carolina continues to make headlines.
A Blue Devils staffer was allegedly injured in the chaos. New video now appears to show a UNC fan in a tense exchange with Isaiah Evans.
Evans is one of the top players on the Duke roster. To this point, he’s started all 23 games while averaging 14 points a night.
On Saturday vs. the Tar Heels, he scored 11 points while adding two steals, two boards, and two assists.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for his team to get the win. North Carolina overcame a double-digit deficit to win at the buzzer.

North Carolina stormed the basketball court.
Fans poured onto the floor after Seth Trimble gave the Tar Heels their only lead of the game. While the celebration would briefly be paused as referees put 0.4 seconds back on the clock, it resumed a short time later.
Duke head coach Jon Scheyer says a staff member was punched during the court storm. UNC stood by its security protocol despite being fined by the ACC.
Video from the court storming has since been floating around social media as viewers attempt to spot the alleged punch. New video now provides an up-close look at Duke players leaving the area.
That clip appears to show Isaiah Evans slapping a phone from the hands of a North Carolina basketball fan.
In the video, the fan is heard antagonizing Duke players and coaches, screaming “You suck” as the team exited to the locker room. Evans responded upon seeing he was being filmed.

Court storming has been a topic of discussion over the last few years. Another incident involving Kyle Filipowski and Duke in 2024 sparked a nationwide debate.
On one side, it makes for incredible optics after upset wins. Everyone deserves to celebrate victory.
On the other, player, coach, and fan safety are a priority.
Multiple alleged altercations have surfaced from the latest edition of the North Carolina and Duke basketball rivalry. We’ll see if this is the last of the footage to make waves online.
