It appears as though Dylan Raiola is either going to stay at Nebraska or enter into a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend. She is a true freshman on the softball team.

A recent hard launch of their relationship adds yet another wrinkle to the transfer portal saga.

Perhaps Raiola is going to change his mind and finish his college football career with the Cornhuskers. Maybe he makes enough money to where a flight back and forth to Lincoln is not enough reason to stay.

Dylan Raiola is in the transfer portal.

The news of Raiola’s expected departure first broke on Dec. 15. It was reported that he “intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal” with two years of eligibility remaining after two years at Nebraska.

Skarlett Jones is a freshman at Nebraska.

Exactly 10 days after Dylan Raiola confirmed his plans to enter the transfer portal, the soon-to-be free agent hard launched his new relationship with his girlfriend on Christmas. He shared the following image on Instagram:

This relationship has been fairly public for a couple of months so it’s not new news.

However, it is a wrinkle to the transfer portal that I had not previously registered. There is a lot of chatter about the possibility that Dylan Raiola could return to Nebraska in 2026. The Cornhuskers would love to have him. The door remains open.

Perhaps his new lady friend proves to be the deciding factor. If he leaves, he has to do long-distance…
