Gamers have been waiting a long time for a new college football video game. After EA Sports’ NCAA Football 14, the company stopped making college football video games due to potential legal troubles stemming from using the images and likeness of current NCAA players.

Now, college players can be compensated for their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), and EA Sports is bringing back their NCAA Football series to huge fanfare and anticipation.
Many around the internet expected a trailer for the game, which is expected to be released in the summer of 2024, to come out during the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday night. Some even thought we would get a release date for what is likely the most-anticipated sports video game in history.

But, it never came. Commercial break after commercial break (and there were plenty of them) came and went without a commercial or trailer from EA Sports.

Twitter was fired up about the lack of trailer. Here are some of the highlights.

As an avid NCAA Football player myself, I was sorely disappointed that there wasn’t an official trailer or announcement. But, from what we know about the game so far, it should be pretty sweet. For many of us, we spent hours and hours building up obscure schools as kids, and I’m just itching to turn Rice into the premier college football program in Texas once again.

Here’s a video that will give you a good idea of all the things we know about the game.

Surely, EA Sports is going to have to address the lack of trailer soon, and it will be interesting to see what they have to say.
