People will tell you that there are two types of New Jersey: North Jersey and South Jersey. And the difference between those two sub-states are the cities of New York City and Philadelphia, and the cultures the surrounding aras inherit from them. And as a North Jersey kid and now New Yorker, trust me when I say that those South Jersey/Philly dudes are just built different.

The city of Philadelphia having a famously passionate sports fanbase is certainly nothing new. And still, despite that, the Birds’ faithful routinely find ways to reaffirm their commitment to their team, as evidenced by this group of fans that were outside Lincoln Financial Field tailgating tonight’s Monday Night Football game at 5:30 IN THE MORNING!

For those who are home who aren’t math whizzes, that’s almost 15 hours at and/or around the stadium. Just imagine what time they actually woke up.

The Eagles head into their Week 2 Monday Night Football matchup against Kirk Cousins and an Atlanta Falcons squad that will be looking to rebound from a putrid performance in Week 1 that saw the offense put up just 10 points in a home loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With the Dallas Cowboys getting blown out by the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and the Washington Commanders improving to 1-1 after beating the winless New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles head into their game against the Falcons with the opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the NFC East with a win. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles head into the matchup favored by 5.5 points over Cousins and the Falcons.

As for the Falcons, they already find themselves in a position of needing to keep pace with other teams in their division as both the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not only begun the season with 2-0 records but have also looked quite impressive in the process.
