Divisive Olympic athlete Eileen Gu — who represented China despite being born in the United States — has surfaced on the popular dating app Raya. Raya is a membership-based dating app that’s commonly used by celebrities.

22-year-old Eileen Gu was one of the stars of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, as the freestyle skier won a Gold in Halfpipe, Silver in Slopestyle, and Silver in Big Air.

Her decision to represent China instead of the United States, however, made her quite the controversial figure, with numerous segments of society weighing in, from sports media to politicians.

Now that the dust has settled on the 2026 Winter Olympics, Gu appears to be returning to her regular life, as she was recently spotted having a profile on the dating app Raya.

Similar to United States ice skater Alysa Liu, Gu has seen her popularity explode in the wake of the 2026 Winter Olympics, as she now has over 4.4 million followers on Instagram at the time of this writing.
