Elieder Alvarez Pulls Off Huge Upset After Drilling Sergey Kovalev With A Monster Right Hand In Seventh Round

Coming into tonight’s fight Elieder Alvarez was a 4-1 underdog against Russian champion Sergey Kovalev but despite the odds Elieder managed to pull out one of the biggest boxing upsets of the year.

In the seventh round of their fight tonight, Alvarez hit Kovalev with a devastating right hand.

Kovalev tried his hardest to weather the storm but he was still out of it and was unable to come back.

Eventually Alvarez finished Kovalev off a few seconds later.

Kovalev is 35 and it’s tough to see him continue his career after this loss. As for Alvarez he’s probably going to fight Dmitry Bivol who won earlier in the night.
