Players on the Canadian women’s Olympic Soccer Team are not happy about being dragged into the team’s drone scandal.

Last week, the Canadian Women’s soccer team’s coach was suspended and the team was docked six points in Olympic play after it was revealed that team staffers had used drones to spy on opposing team practices.

Canada women’s soccer coach Bev Priestman has been suspended from coaching for one year and the Canadian team has been penalized six points during the Olympics, FIFA announced Saturday after investigating charges that Canada staff members used a drone to spy on an opponent’s closed practice session last week.

“The officials were each found responsible for offensive behavior and violation of the principles of fair play,” the statement continued.

Priestman’s two assistants implicated in the case, Joseph Lombardi and Jasmine Mander, were also banned from all soccer for one year.

On Sunday, Canada defeated France for their second win during the Olympics and an emotional Vanessa Gilles insisted that the team doesn’t consist of cheaters.

“What’s given us energy is each other. It’s our pride to prove people wrong, our pride to represent this country as all this sh– about our values.”

“We’re not cheaters. We’re damn good players. We’re a damn good team… We proved that today”

The Canadian Olympic Committee and Canada Soccer are attempting to appeal the points deduction which would make it hard for Team Canada to advance to the second round.

“We feel terrible for the athletes on the Canadian Women’s Olympic Soccer Team who as far as we understand played no role in this matter. In support of the athletes, together with Canada Soccer, we are exploring rights of appeal related to the six point deduction at this Olympic tournament,” David Shoemaker, CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee, said via a statement.
