ABC paid tribute to the late Stuart Scott at halftime of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.
Game 1 was played exactly five months after the longtime ESPN anchor died at the age of 49 following a courageous battle with cancer. Scott, an avid NBA fan, had worked the Finals for 18 straight years, including last year’s NBA Finals match-up while he was undergoing treatment for cancer.
Michael Wilbon, who worked closely with Scott over the years narrated the touching tribute.
